There’s always a risk when shopping online that when it arrives it’ll look nothing like what you ordered.
But one woman was stunned after she allegedly purchased two jumpers from Boohoo in a size 10 that fit completely different.
India Tomlin from Surrey purchased the Grey Oversized Slogan Utility Pocket Sweater from Boohoo for £12 on 27 March.
However, when it finally arrived, she was horrified to find that it could fit “two people” and was much larger than she expected, despite ordering her usual size 10.
Whereas, the Plus Universal Oversized Hoodie, this one cream but also a size 10, barely fit over her head.
The 21-year-old called out Boohoo’s product “quality” on Twitter where she uploaded two photos of herself wearing the grey and cream jumper to show the vast difference in sizing.
Sharing her disappointment with the items, India captioned the post: “Both of these items are a size 10…the grey jumper could fit 2 people in it whereas the cream jumper won’t even fit over my head…no wonder so many people struggle with body image and sizing wtf.” [sic]
India has since returned the items to Boohoo and is now waiting for a refund.
She said: “I was super shocked, as not only was the item huge, it was super wide.
“I even sized down in this item. My friend has the same jumper in the smallest size, and it’s still huge.
“I messaged Boohoo first as this is clearly an issue of quality control of clothing, they didn’t have much to say apart from that I should return the item, which I now have.
“I’m still waiting for a refund.
“I’m not sure if I would shop with them again.
“After seeing a lot of feedback from other people, their sizing is way off across the board.”
